Embrace was developed for modern office zones, conference and meeting areas. With its smooth, soft form, Embrace fits into the emotionally appealing and more homely office landscapes of the future. Following the principle less is more, the focus of the design was on reduction, simplicity and naturalness – an approach according to the tradition of Scandinavian furniture design. Due to the flexible tapering back shell made of wood, there is no need for mechanics or lumbar adjustment tools. Produced with state-of-the-art wood-forming technology,it guarantees maximum stability with a minimum usage of material. The intelligent combination of natural and recyclable materials makes the sustainability visible at first glance.
Awards
Since the product launch in fall 2014, the Kinnarps chair family Embrace has already been awarded five design prizes:
IF Award, Red Dot Award, Green Good Design Award and Bronze Award of the Deutscher Designer Club.
Embrace was also awarded a Special Mention German Design Award 2016 by the Rat für Formgebung.
