Werndl becomes Steelcase

From 1996 – 2010 brodbeck design was exclusive Partner for all design matters of Steelcase Werndl AG in Germany. During these 14 years Stefan Brodbeck and his team significantly changed the company regarding design, product development, strategic orientation and thus helped the German middle class company Werndl become global market leader Steelcase.
The services comprised design strategic consulting, improving the product range, market research, design concepts and realization as well as marketing and trade fair presence. Strategic product design and internal modelling led to efficient and quick product development with the team including the development department at Steelcase.
Steelcase benefit from our experience in the fields of construction, optimization of material, ecological requirements, norms such as Bifma, EN, etc.
Thus brodbeck has developed 40 products for Steelcase that are successfully distributed on the international market.
These products have been awarded many national and international design prizes.

„Frisco“, one of the first products, has been exhibited at MOMA – museum of modern art, New York as part of the exhibition „workspheres“ in 2001 as a model of pathbreaking product design in future work environments.
