For us, the interplay of reduction, functionality and aesthetics is the key to sustainable product design. Simplicity, performance and durability were our priorities when developing Genaya.
On a functional level, developed with a minimum of parts and complexity for a maximum of modularity. On a formal level, our aim was to design an inviting, visually calm and homely seating landscape that goes beyond the usual modular typologies.
Another focus of our design was to create a seating system that enables both shielding and exchange. Which, thanks to its high degree of variability in terms of formal arrangement, dimensions, color and material combinations, can be configured in an almost infinite number of individual linear and island constellations. Which can be cleverly electrified and also be extended with additional elements such as trays, plant pots, light, etc. if required.
With its flowing, soft forms, Genaya can be integrated into a wide range of architectural environments without dominating them and be used in a variety of ways. Genaya invites people to linger, work, relax and communicate in public areas, informal office zones, waiting rooms, lounges, foyers or airports.
