German Design Award for Genaya modular softseating system

Less is often more and can also look excellent. Genaya is our latest example of how we think about market- and environmentally focused product design. After the Red Dot Design Award 2023, Genaya has now also been awarded the German Design Award Winner 2024 in the category Excellent Product Design – Office Furniture.

Simplicity, performance and durability were our priorities when developing Genaya. At a functional level, designed with a minimum of parts and complexity for maximum of modularity. At a formal level, we wanted to design an inviting, visually calm and homely seating area, going beyond common, modular typologies.

We are delighted with our customer Kusch+Co that the interplay of reduction, functionality and aesthetics convinced the juries of the Red Dot Design Award and the German Design Council.
